Disarmingthealarm
Withinrangeofthevehicle,brieflypressthe
left(PLAIN)buttononthehandset;the
directionindicatorlightswillflashonceto
indicatethatthealarmhasbeendisarmedand
theenginere-mobilised.
NOTE: In some territories, the interior lights
will illuminate when the alarm is disarmed.
If the direction indicators fail to flash when
the alarm is armed:
Thisindicatesthatadoororthebonnetisnot
fullyclosed,inwhichcasethealarmwillstill
bepartiallyarmedandtheengine
immobilised,butinteriorprotectionwillnotbe
active.
Anti-theftalarmindicatorlight
AREDindicatorlightontheinstrumentpanel
indicatesthestatusofthealarmsystem.
Whenthealarmisarmedsuccessfully,the
lightFLASHESrapidly.After10seconds,the
lightadjuststoaslowerfrequency,and
continuesflashingasananti-theftdeterrent
untilthealarmisdisarmed.
Oncetheopendoororbonnetisclosed,the
directionindicatorswillflashthreetimesand
thealarmwillfullyarmasdescribed
previously.
Ifthelightfailstoilluminateduringtherapid
flashphase,thisindicatesa’mislock’(dooror
bonnetnotfullyclosedorkeyinstarter
switch).Ifthisoccurs,theindicatorlightwill
stillflashattheslowerfrequencyasan
anti-theftdeterrent.
If the alarm sounds:
Thevehiclehornandalarmsirenwillsound
continuouslyfor30secondsandthenswitch
off.Thehornandsirencanbetriggeredupto
threetimes.
Tosilencethealarm,presseitherhandset
button.Ifthehandsetisinoperative,thealarm
canonlybedisarmedbyenteringthe
emergencykeyaccesscode(see’Engine
immobilisationoverride’).
Ifthelightilluminatescontinuously,this
indicatesthattheenginehasimmobilised
passively(see’Engineimmobilisation’).
