Safety—
WARN ING!
Overload ing of you r tire is dangerou s. Overload ing
can cause tire failu re, affect veh icle handlin g, and
increase you r stop ping distan ce. Use tires of the
recom mended load capacity for you r veh icle. Never
overload them.

Improp erly inflated tires are dangerou s and can
cause accid ents.

Under inflation increases tire flexin g and can
resu lt in tire failu re.

Over inflation red uces a tire’s ability to cushion 5
shock. Objects on the road and chuck holes can cause
damage that resu lts in tire failu re.
TIRES—GENERAL INFORMATION
Tire Pressure
Prop er tire inflation pressu re is essential to the safe and
satisfactory operation of you r vehicle. Three prim ary
areas are affected by improp er tire pressu re:

Unequal tire pressu res can cause steerin g prob -
lem s. You could lose control of you r veh icle.
Over inflated or under inflated tires can affect
•
veh icle handlin g and can fail suddenly, resu ltin g in
loss of veh icle control.
•
Unequal tire pressu res from one sid e of the veh icle
to the oth er can cause the veh icle to drift to the righ t
or left.
Alw ays drive with each tire inflated to the recom -
mended cold tire inflation pressu re.
