Use only manu factu rer’s recom mend ed brake fluid, refer
to Recom mend ed Fluids, Lubricants and Genu ine Parts
for correct fluid typ e.
Do not allow petroleu m base fluid to contam inate the
brake fluid as seal damage will resu lt!
Fuel System Hoses
Electronic Fuel Injection high pressu re fuel system s are
designed with hoses and clamps which have uniqu e
material characteristics to provid e adequ ate sealing and
resist attack by deteriorated gasoline.
WARN ING!
Use of a brak e flu id that has a low er initial boilin g
poin t than MOPAR DOT 3 Brak e Fluid or that is
unidentified as to DOT FMVSS specification may
resu lt in sudden brak e failu re durin g hard or pro-
lon ged brak ing. You could have an accid ent.
You are urged to use only manu factu rer specified hoses
and clamps, or their equ ivalent in material and specifi-
cation, in any fuel system servicing. It is mand atory to
rep lace all clamps that have been loosened or rem oved
during service. Care shou ld be taken in installing new
clamps to insu re they are prop erly torqu ed.

Automatic Transmission
Overfillin g the brak e flu id reservoir can resu lt in
spillin g brak e flu id on hot engin e parts and the
brak e flu id catch ing fire.
Your front wheel drive vehicle has a transm ission and
differential assem bly contained within a single hou sing.
This is referred to as a “Transaxle.”
Use only brake fluid that has been in a tightly closed
container to avoid contam ination from foreign matter.
