Battery posts, term inals and related accessories con-
tain lead and lead compounds. Wash hands after
handlin g. Battery flu id is a corrosive acid solu tion
and can burn or even blin d you . Don’t allow battery
flu id to contact you r eyes, skin or cloth ing. Don’t
lean over a battery when attach ing clam ps. If acid
splash es in eyes or on skin, flu sh the area immedi-
ately with large amounts of water. Battery gas is
flam mable and explosive. Keep flam e or spark s
away from the battery. Don’t use a booster battery or
any oth er booster sou rce with an output greater than
It is essen tial when rep lacin g the cables on the
battery that the positive cable is attach ed to the
positive post and the negative cable is attach ed to the
negative post. Battery posts are mark ed positive (+)
and negative (-) and identified on the battery case.
Cab le clam ps should be tigh t on the term inal posts
and free of corrosion . Apply grease to posts and
clam ps after tigh ten ing. If a “fast charger” is used
while the battery is in the veh icle, discon nect both
veh icle battery cables before connectin g the charger
to battery. Do not use a “fast charger” to provid e 7
startin g voltage as battery damage can resu lt.

Check the air cond itioning system at the start of the

NOTE: If you r air cond itioning perform ance seem s
lower than expected , check the front of the A/ C con-
