Then lift the second ary latch located und er the front edge
of the hood , near the center and raise the hood .
WARN ING!
If the hood is not fully latch ed it could fly up when
the veh icle is movin g and block you r forw ard vision .
You could have a collision . Be sure all hood latch es
are fully latch ed before drivin g.

LIGHTS
Interior Lights
The map/ courtesy lights come on when a door is opened
and the panel lamp dimmer switch (located on the turn
signal control stalk) is in any detent excep t fully counter-
clockw ise (dome lamp ON position) or fully clockw ise
(dome lamp OFF position). Rotating the panel dimmer
switch fully counter-clockw ise will turn on the lights.
Turn the panel dimmer switch fully clockw ise to prevent
the lights from coming on when a door is opened .
Use the hood prop rod to secure the hood in the open
position. Place the upper end of the prop rod in the hole
marked “prop ” on the und ersid e of the hood .
To prevent possible damage, do not slam the hood to
close it. Use a firm downw ard push at the center of the
hood to ensu re that both latches engage.
NOTE: The interior lights have a “fad e to off” featu re.
When the lights are turned off, they grad ually “fad e” off.
