Cooling System

Inspection
Check the front of the rad iator for any accumulation of
bugs, leaves, etc. Clean the rad iator by gently spraying
water from a gard en hose at the back of the core.

tightness of connections at the bottle. Insp ect the entire
system for leaks.

to the OFF position . The fan is controlled by both
the tem peratu re of the engin e coolin g system and
the pressu re in the air condition ing system and
can start at any tim e the ign ition key is in the ON
position .

You or oth ers can be badly burned by hot coolan t
or steam from you r rad iator. If you see or hear
steam coming from under the hood , don’t open
the hood until the rad iator has had tim e to cool.
Never try to open a coolin g system pressu re cap
when the rad iator or cap is hot.
Coolan t Checks
Check coolant protection every 12 months (before the
onset of freezing weather, where applicable). If coolant is
