THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
The side impact SRS Airbags are designed to activate
only in certain side collisions. When the airbag control
module detects a collision requ iring the wind ow bags to
inflate, it signals the inflators on the crash side of the
vehicle. A quantity of nontoxic gas is generated to inflate
the wind ow bag. The inflating wind ow bag pushes the
outsid e edge of the head liner out of the way and inflates
(in abou t the sam e time it takes to blink you r eyes) with
enou gh force to injure you if you are not belted and
seated prop erly, or if item s are positioned in the area
