WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES

Before raising the vehicle, use lug wrench to carefu lly
WARN ING!
pry off wheel cover (if equ ipped with steel wheels) or
center cap (if equ ipped with aluminu m wheels). Loosen,
but do not rem ove, the wheel nu ts by turning them
counterclockw ise one turn while the wheel is still on the
grou nd .
To avoid possib le person al injury, handle the wheel
covers with care to avoid contact with the metal
edges and reten tion teeth .
4.
Turn the jack screw clockw ise to firm ly engage the jack
sad dle with the lift area of the sill flange. Use the lift area
closest to the flat tire
5.
Raise the vehicle just enou gh to rem ove flat tire and
install spare tire.
