• Engin e Oil Selection for Operatin g on E-85
If you operate the vehicle on E-85 fuel, either full or
part-tim e, use only Mop ar Flexible Fuel 5W-30 engine
oil (P/ N 4318086) or an equ ivalent that meets the
Manu factu rer’s Stand ard MS-9214. Equivalent com-
mercial Flexible Fuel engine oils may be labeled as
Flexible Fuel (FFV) or Alternate Fuel (AFV). These
engine oils may be satisfactory if they meet the Manu -
factu rer’s Stand ard .
This sym bol means that the oil has
been certified by the American
Petroleu m Institu te
(API). We
only recom mend API Certified en-
gine oils that meet the requ ire-
ments of Daim lerChrysler’s Mate-
rial Stand ard MS-9214. Use Mop ar
or an equ ivalent oil meeting the
specification MS-9214.

The 5W-30 engine oil installed at the factory meets the
manu factu rer’s requ irem ents for Flexible Fuel engine oil.
The manu factu rer strongly recom mend s against the ad-
dition of any additives (other than leak detection dyes) to
engine oil. Engine oil is an engineered prod uct and it’s
perform ance may be impaired by supplemental addi-
tives.
SAE 5W-30 engine oil is preferred for use in Flexible Fuel
engines.

E-85, engin e wear may be increased sign ifican tly.
