UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE
LOAD LEVELING SYSTEM
WARN ING!
The autom atic load leveling system will provid e a level
rid ing vehicle und er most passenger and cargo load ing
cond itions.
Do not install the load levelin g system on veh icles
that are not equipped with Anti-Lock Brak es. Ve-
hicles with out Anti-Lock Brak es (ABS) have a
heigh t-sen sin g prop ortion ing valve. Installin g a lev-
elin g system will ren der this system ineffective,
inapprop riately red ucing rear brak e pressu re, resu lt-
ing in increased stop ping distan ces. You could have
an accid ent.
A hyd rau lic pump contained within the shock absorbers
raises the rear of the vehicle to the correct height. It takes
approxim ately 1 mile (1.6 km) of driving for the leveling
to complete depend ing on road surface cond itions.
If the leveled vehicle is not moved for approxim ately 15
hou rs, the leveling system will bleed itself down. The
vehicle must be driven to reset the system .
