nu ts until   each  nu t  has  been  tightened    twice.  Correct
wheel  nu t tightness   is  130 N·m   (95 ft.  lbs). If  in  doubt
abou t the   correct  tightness,   have  them   checked  with   a
torqu e wrench  by  you r dealer  or  at a  service station.

and  position  it  prop erly across  the  wheel  opening.
For convenience   in checking  the  spare  tire inflation,
stow  with   the  valve-stem    tow ard  the  rear  of  the
vehicle.

Lower  the  jack to its  fully  closed  position.
WARN ING!
Using  the  jack-hand  le, rotate   the  drive  nu t  to  the
right  until  the wheel  is draw n into  place  against  the
und ersid e of the  vehicle.
A loose  tire  or jack , throw n forw ard  in  a collision  or
hard  stop   could  endanger    the  occupants   of  the  ve-
hicle.  Alw ays stow the  jack parts  and  the spare  tire  in
the  places  provid  ed.

Push  against   the  tire  several  times  to  be  sure  it is
securely  in  place.

Stow  jack and  hand le.
If  you r  vehicle  is  equ ipped   with   cast  aluminu  m
wheels,   the  center   cap  of  the  wheel   must   be  re-
moved  prior  to flat tire stow age. Store  the center  cap
insid e the  glove box  or other  storage  compartm  ent.
13.  Check  the tire  pressu re  as  soon  as possible.   Correct
pressu re as  requ ired .
