WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
Spare Tire Rem oval
Preparations For Jacking
Fit the jack-hand le over the drive nu t. Rotate the nu t to
the left until the spare is on the grou nd with enou gh slack
cable to allow you to pull the tire out from und er the
vehicle.
Park the vehicle on a firm level surface, avoid ice or
slippery areas, set the park ing brak e and place the gear
selector in PARK. Turn OFF the ignition.
WARN ING!
CAUTIO N!
Do not attem pt to change a tire on the sid e of the
veh icle close to movin g traffic. Pull far enough off
the road to avoid the danger of bein g hit when
operatin g the jack or changin g the wheel.
The winch mechanism is design ed for use with the
jack handle only. Use of an air wren ch or oth er
power tools is not recom mended and can damage the
winch.
When the spare is clear, tilt the retainer at the end of the
cable and pull it throu gh the center of the wheel.
