Power Steering — Fluid Check
The air cond itioning system of you r vehicle contains
R-134a, a refrigerant that does not deplete the ozone layer
in the upper atm osp here. The manu factu rer recom mend s
that air cond itioning service be done by facilities using
refrigerant recycling and recovery equ ipment that meets
SAE stand ard J1991.
Checking the power steering fluid level at a defined
service interval is not requ ired . The fluid shou ld only be
checked if a leak is suspected , abnorm al noises are
apparent, and / or the system is not functioning as antici-

A/C Air Filter
WARN ING!
The filter access door is located und er the instru ment
panel on the passenger side. To rep lace the filter slide the
lock tow ard the rear of the vehicle (unlock position).
Remove the access door and pull the filter downw ard .
When installing a new filter, ensu re its prop er orienta-
tion. Align the black arrow on the bottom of the filter
fram e with the direction of airflow (away from the
blow er motor and tow ard s the center of the car).
Fluid level should be checked on a level surface and
with the engin e off to preven t injury from movin g
parts and to insure accurate flu id level read ing. Do
not overfill. Use only manufactu rers recom mended
power steerin g flu id.
