THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

For person al secu rity and safety in the even t of an
accid ent, lock the veh icle doors as you drive as
well as when you park and leave the veh icle.
•
When leavin g the veh icle alw ays rem ove the key
from the ign ition lock , and lock you r veh icle. Do
not leave child ren unatten ded in the veh icle, or
with access to an unlock ed veh icle. Unsupervised
use of veh icle equipment may cause severe per-
son al injuries and death .
If you press the power door lock switch while the key is
in the ignition, and any front door is open, the power
locks will not operate. This prevents you from acciden-
tally locking you r keys in the vehicle. Removing the key
or closing the door will allow the locks to operate. A
chim e will sou nd if the key is in the ignition switch and
a door is open, as a rem ind er to rem ove the key.
Power Door Locks — If Equipped
A power door lock switch is on each front door trim
panel. Use this switch to lock or unlock the doors.
