WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
If it is necessary to use the accessories while being tow ed
(wipers, defrosters, etc.), the key must be in the ON
position, not the ACCESSORY position. Make certain the
transaxle rem ains in NEUTRAL.

Do not attem pt to tow this veh icle from the fron t
with slin g typ e tow ing equipment. Damage to the
fron t fascia will resu lt.
Without The Ignition Key
Alw ays use wheel lift equipment when tow ing
from the fron t. The only oth er approved meth od
of tow ing is with a flat bed tru ck.
Special care must be taken when the vehicle is tow ed
with the ignition in the LOCK position. The only ap-
proved method of tow ing with out the ignition key is
with a flat bed tru ck. Prop er tow ing equ ipment is neces-
sary to prevent damage to the vehicle.

Do not tow the veh icle from the rear. Damage to
the rear sheet metal, liftgate and fascia will occur.
Do not push or tow this veh icle with anoth er
veh icle as damage to the bumper fascia and tran s-
axle may resu lt.
TOWING THIS VEHICLE BEHIND ANOTHER
VEHICLE (Flat towing with all four wheels on the
ground)
Flat tow ing of vehicles equ ipped with an autom atic
transaxle, is only perm itted within the limitations de-
scribed in this section.

If the veh icle bein g tow ed req uires steerin g, the
ign ition switch must be in the OFF position , not
in the LOCK or ACCESSO RY position s.
