WithRainsense, ifthetransmission
isinN(Neutral)  andthevehicle
speedisveryslow,thewiperswill
automatically stopatthebaseofthe
windshield.
Iftheignition  isturnedLOCK/OFF
whilethewipersareon1,2or&,
theywillimmediately  stop.
Ifthewindshield  wiperleveristhen
movedtoOFFbeforethedriver
doorisopenedorwithin10minutes,
thewiperswillrestartandmoveto
thebaseofthewindshield.
Thewiperoperations  returnto
normalwhenthetransmission  isno
longerinN(Neutral)  orthevehicle
speedhasincreased.

Control): Movethewindshield
.Turntheband
wiperleverto
onthewiperlevertoadjustthe
sensitivity.
&
WindshieldWasher
Iftheignition  isturnedto
LOCK/OFFwhilethewipers
areperforming wipesdueto
windshield wash,thewipers
continue torununtiltheyreach
thebaseofthewindshield.
Pullthelevertowardyoutospray
washerfluidonthewindshield.
Thespraycontinues  untilthelever
isreleased. Thewiperswillruna
fewtimes.SeeWasherFluid   on
page 9‑23 forinformation onfilling
thewindshield washerfluid
reservoir.
Turnthebandupformore
sensitivity tomoisture.
Turnthebanddownforless
sensitivity tomoisture.
Todeactivate Rainsense, move
thewindshield wiperleverout
Rainsense™
of
&
position.
Forvehicles withRainsense, a
sensorlocatednearthetopcenter
ofthewindshield  detectsthe
{WARNING
WiperArmAssemblyProtection
amountofwateronthewindshield
andautomatically controls the
frequency ofthewindshield wiper.
Whenusinganautomatic  carwash,
movethewindshield  wiperleverto
theOFFposition.  Thisdisablesthe
automatic Rainsense windshield
wipesand/orrearwipers.
Infreezingweather,donotuse
yourwasheruntilthewindshield
iswarmed.Otherwise  the
washerfluidcanformiceonthe
windshield, blocking yourvision.
Keepthisareaofthewindshield
clearofdebristoallowforbest
systemperformance.
