properlevelwhenthesystemcools
downagain,seeyourdealer/retailer.
Thenchecktoseeiftheengine
coolingfansarerunning. Ifthe
engineisoverheating, bothfans
shouldberunning. Iftheyarenot,
donotcontinue toruntheengine
andhavethevehicleserviced.
Fillthecoolantsurgetankwith
®
theproperDEX-COOL coolant
mixturetotheindicated
levelmark.
Notice: Enginedamagefrom
runningtheenginewithout
coolantisnotcoveredbythe
warranty.

Withthecoolantsurgetank
pressure capoff,startthe
engineandletitrununtilyou
canfeeltheupperradiator hose
gettinghot.Watchoutforthe
enginecoolingfan.
EngineOverheating
Thevehiclehasanindicator towarn
ofengineoverheating.
Notice: Iftheenginecatchesfire
becauseofbeingdrivenwithno
coolant, yourvehiclecanbe
badlydamaged.Thecostly
repairswouldnotbecoveredby
thevehiclewarranty.
Thereisanenginecoolant
temperature warninglightonthe
vehicle's instrument panel.See

Bythistime,thecoolantlevel
insidethecoolantsurgetank
maybelower.Ifthelevelis
lower,addmoreoftheproper
®
DEX-COOL coolantmixtureto
thecoolantsurgetankuntilthe
levelreachestheindicated
levelmark.
Youmaydecidenottoliftthehood
whenthiswarningappears,but
insteadgetservicehelprightaway.

Thenreplacethepressure cap.
Besurethepressure capis
hand-tight.
Ifyoudodecidetoliftthehood,
makesurethevehicleisparkedon
alevelsurface.
