SafetyLocks
Lockoutdeterrent decreases the
chancesthatthekeysmaybe
accidentally lockedinthevehicle.
Whenthisfeatureisenabledand
thedoorsarelockedwiththepower
lockswitchontheinstrument   panel,
threechimessoundtosignalthat
thedelayedlockingfeatureisin
use.Alldoorslockfiveseconds
afterthelastdoorisclosed.
Whendoorlockingisrequested
bypressingQontheinstrument
panelorQonthekeylessaccess
transmitter andthedriverdooris
open,alldoorswilllockandthe
driverdoorwillimmediately  unlock.
Thedriverdoormustbeclosed
Whenthedelayedlockingfeature
isinuse,pressingQonthe
instrument panelorQonthe
keylessaccesstransmitter  will
override thefeatureandlockall
doorsimmediately.
whenQispressedforalldoorsto
remainlocked.
Reardoorsecurity  locksprevent
passengers fromopeningtherear
doorsfromtheinside.
Thisfeaturecanbeprogrammed
toprovidethelockoutdeterrent
featureonlywhentheignition
modeisACC/ACCESSORY,or
ON/RUN/START.See“PowerDoor
Locks”inVehiclePersonalization  on
page 4‑41.
Thisfeaturecanbeprogrammed   by
usingtheDriverInformation  Center
(DIC).See“DelayedDoorLock”
inVehiclePersonalization  on
page 4‑41.Thedelayedlocking
featureisonlyavailable  if“Unlocked
DoorAnti-Lockout”isdisabled.
Pressthebutton(C)toactivate   the
safetylocks.Onceactivated,  the
LEDlightintheswitchilluminates.
Pressing thebuttonagain
deactivates thesafetylocks.
