Forsomechildrenwhohave
IftheOnIndicatorisLitfora
ChildRestraint
outgrown childrestraints andfor
verysmalladults,thepassenger
sensingsystemmayormaynot
turnofftherightfrontpassenger
frontalairbagandseat-mounted
sideimpactairbag,depending
upontheperson’sseatingposture
andbodybuild.Everyone inthe
vehiclewhohasoutgrown child
restraints shouldwearasafetybelt
properly —whetherornotthereis
anairbagforthatperson.
Ifachildrestraint hasbeeninstalled
andtheonindicator islit:
1. Turnthevehicleoff.
2.
Removethechildrestraint from
thevehicle.
Thepassenger sensingsystemis
designed toturnon(mayinflate)
therightfrontpassenger frontal
airbagandseat‐mountedside
impactairbaganytimethesystem
sensesthatapersonofadultsize
issittingproperly intherightfront
passenger seat.
3. Removeanyadditional items
fromtheseatsuchasblankets,
cushions, seatcovers,seat
heaters, orseatmassagers.
4. Reinstall thechildrestraint
following thedirections
provided bythechildrestraint

comesonandstayson,itmeans
thatsomething maybewrong
withtheairbagsystem.Tohelp
avoidinjurytoyourself orothers,
havethevehicleserviced right
