Thereareonlytworeasonswhythe
brakefluidlevelinthereservoir
mightgodown:
Thebrakingsystemonavehicleis
complex. Itsmanypartshavetobe
oftopqualityandworkwelltogether
ifthevehicleistohavereallygood
braking. Thevehiclewasdesigned
andtestedwithtop-quality brake
parts.Whenpartsofthebraking
systemarereplaced, besuretoget
new,approved replacement parts.
Ifthisisnotdone,thebrakesmight
notworkproperly.Forexample,
installing discbrakepadsthatare
wrongforthevehicle, canchange
thebalancebetweenthefrontand
rearbrakes—fortheworse.The
brakingperformance expected can
changeinmanyotherwaysifthe
wrongreplacement brakepartsare
installed.

Thebrakefluidlevelgoesdown
becauseofnormalbrakelining
wear.Whennewliningsare
installed, thefluidlevelgoes
backup.
Thebrakemastercylinder reservoir
isfilledwithDOT3brakefluidas
indicated onthereservoir cap.See

Afluidleakinthebrake
hydraulic systemcanalso
causealowfluidlevel.Havethe
brakehydraulic systemfixed,
sincealeakmeansthatsooner
orlaterthebrakeswillnot
workwell.
