Iftheliftgate encounters anobstacle
duringapoweropenorclosecycle,
awarningchimewillsoundand
theliftgate willautomatically reverse
direction tothefullclosedor
openposition. Afterremoving the
obstruction, thepowerliftgate
operation canbeusedagain.
Iftheliftgate encounters multiple
obstacles onthesamepowercycle,
thepowerfunctionwilldeactivate.

Information Center(DIC)will
Tochangetheliftgate stopposition:
1. Turntheliftgate switchtoeither
theMAX,orthe3/4mode
position andpoweropenthe
liftgate.
Ifyoushiftthetransmission outof
P(Park)whilethepowerfunction
isinprogress, theliftgate power
function willcontinue tocompletion.
Ifyoushiftthetransmission outof
P(Park)andaccelerate beforethe
powerliftgate latchisclosed,the
liftgate mayreversetotheopen
position. Cargocouldfalloutofthe
vehicle. Alwaysmakesurethe
powerliftgate isclosedandlatched
beforeyoudriveaway.
2. Stoptheliftgate movementat
thedesiredheightbypressing
anyliftgate switch.Manually
adjusttheliftgate position if
required.
3.
Pressandholdthebuttononthe
liftgate adjacent tothelatchuntil
theturnsignalsflashandabeep
soundstoindicate thatthenew
settingisrecorded.
display.Afterremoving the
obstructions, theliftgate will
resumenormalpoweroperation.
Ifyoupoweropentheliftgate and
theliftgate supportstrutshavelost
pressure, theturnsignalsflash
andachimesounds.Theliftgate
staysopentemporarily,thenslowly
closes.Seeyourdealer/retailer for
servicebeforeusingtheliftgate.
Thevehiclehaspinchsensors
locatedonthesideedgesofthe
liftgate. Ifanobjectiscaught
betweentheliftgate andthebody
andpressesagainstthissensor,the
liftgate willreversedirection and
openfully.Theliftgate willremain
openuntilitisactivated againor
closedmanually.
Whenpoweropenedwiththe
modeselected, theliftgate stops
atthenewsetposition.
