ChargingMessages
Thisdisplay,available  onsome
vehicles, showsthecurrentbattery
voltage. Ifthevoltageisinthe
normalrange,thevaluewilldisplay.
Forexample, thedisplaymayread
BatteryVoltage15.0Volts.The
vehicle's charging systemregulates
voltagebasedonthestateof
thebattery.Thebatteryvoltage
canfluctuate whileviewingthis
information ontheDIC.Thisis
normal.SeeCharging  SystemLight
on page 4‑20 formoreinformation.
Ifthereisaproblemwiththebattery
charging system,theDICwill
displayamessage.SeeBattery
VoltageandCharging  Messages on
page 4‑33.
Messages aredisplayed onthe
DICtonotifythedriverthatthe
BatterySaverActive
statusofthevehiclehaschanged
andthatsomeactionmaybe
neededbythedrivertocorrect   the
condition. Multiplemessages may
appearoneafteranother.
Thismessagedisplays  when
thevehiclehasdetected  thatthe
batteryvoltageisdroppingbeyond
areasonable point.Thebattery
saversystemstartsreducing  certain
features ofthevehiclethatyoumay
beabletonotice.Atthepointthat
features aredisabled, thismessage
isdisplayed. Itmeansthatthe
vehicleistryingtosavethecharge
inthebattery.Turnoffunnecessary
accessories toallowthebatteryto
recharge.
Somemessages maynotrequire
immediate action,butyoucan
pressSETtoacknowledge  that
youreceived themessagesandto
clearthemfromthedisplay.Some
messages cannotbeclearedfrom
theDICdisplaybecausetheyare
moreurgent.Thesemessages
requireactionbeforetheycanbe
cleared. Youshouldtakeany
LowBattery
messages thatappearonthe
Thismessageisdisplayed  whenthe
batteryvoltageislow.SeeBattery
on page 9‑27 formoreinformation.
BlankDisplay
displayseriously andremember
thatclearing themessages willonly
makethemessages  disappear,not
correcttheproblem.  Youwillfind
thepossiblemessages  thatcanbe
displayed andsomeinformation
aboutthemgroupedbysubjectin
thefollowing information.
