vehicleifitisdrivenwiththe
liftgate, trunk/hatch open,orwith
anyobjectsthatpassthroughthe
sealbetweenthebodyandthe
trunk/hatch orliftgate. Engine
exhaustcontains Carbon
Monoxide(CO)whichcannotbe
seenorsmelled.  Itcancause
unconsciousness andevendeath.
Fullyopentheairoutletson
orundertheinstrument
panel.
Forvehicles withoutkeylessaccess,
unlockthevehiclebeforeopening
theliftgate.

AdjusttheClimateControl
systemtoasettingthat
bringsinonlyoutsideairand
setthefanspeedtothe
highestsetting. SeeClimate
ControlSystemintheIndex.
Pressthetouchpad  locatedinthe
handleoftheliftgate,  abovethe
licenseplate,andliftuptoopen.
Donotpressthetouchpad   while
closingtheliftgate.  Thiswillcause
theliftgate tobeunlatched.

apowerliftgate,  disablethe
powerliftgate function.
