rear-facing childrestraint; achild
ridinginaforward-facing childseat;
anolderchildridinginabooster
seat;andchildren, whoarelarge
enough,usingsafetybelts.
Thepassenger sensingsystem
turnsofftherightfrontpassenger
frontalairbagandseat-mounted
sideimpactairbagundercertain
conditions. Thedriverairbagsand
theroof-rail airbagsarenotaffected
bythepassenger sensingsystem.
Alabelonthesunvisorsays,
“Neverputarear-facing childseat
inthefront.”Thisisbecausetherisk
totherear-facing childissogreat,
iftheairbagdeploys.
Thepassenger sensingsystem
workswithsensorsthatarepartof
