Thisvehiclehasabrakeassist
featuredesigned toassistthedriver
instopping ordecreasing vehicle
speedinemergency driving
conditions. Thisfeatureusesthe
stability systemhydraulic brake
controlmoduletosupplement the
powerbrakesystemunder
conditions wherethedriverhas
quicklyandforcefully appliedthe
brakepedalinanattempttoquickly
stoporslowdownthevehicle. The
stability systemhydraulic brake
controlmoduleincreases brake
pressure ateachcornerofthe
vehicleuntiltheABSactivates.
Minorbrakepedalpulsations or
pedalmovement duringthistimeis
normalandthedrivershould
continue toapplythebrakepedal
asthedrivingsituation dictates.
Thebrakeassistfeaturewill
automatically disengage whenthe
brakepedalisreleased orbrake
pedalpressure isquickly
ThisvehiclehasaHillStartAssist
(HSA)feature, whichmaybeuseful
whenthevehicleisstoppedona
grade.Thisfeatureisdesignedto
preventthevehiclefromrolling,
eitherforwardorrearward, during
vehicledriveoff.Afterdriver
completely stopsandholdsthe
vehicleinacompletestandstill ona
grade,HSAwillbeautomatically
activated. Duringthetransition
periodbetweenwhenthedriver
releases thebrakepedalandstarts
toaccelerate todriveoffonagrade,
HSAholdsthebrakingpressureto
ensurethatthereisnorollingback.

AutomaticEPBRelease
TheEPBwillautomatically release
ifthevehicleisrunning, placedinto
gearandanattemptismadeto
driveaway.Avoidrapidacceleration
whentheEPBisapplied,to
releasewhentheaccelerator pedal
isappliedwithinthetwosecond
window.Itwillnotactivate ifthe
vehicleisinadrivegearandfacing
downhill orifthevehicleisfacing
uphillandinR(Reverse).
