After30seconds,thealarm
systemwillarm,andtheLED
willbegintoslowlyflash
indicating thealarmisoperating.
DisarmingtheSystem
Ifyousetoffthealarmbyaccident,
turnoffthealarmbypressing   the
unlockbuttononthetransmitter.
Thealarmwillnotstopifyoutryto
unlockadooranyotherway.
Todisarmthesystem,eitherunlock
thedoorsusingthetransmitter,
orstartthevehiclewitha
recognized transmitter inthe
vehicle.
Ifadoor,thehood,orliftgate    is
openedwithoutfirstunlocking  with
thetransmitter,thevehicle’ sturn
signalswillflashandthehornwill
soundforabout30seconds.The
alarmsystemwillthenre-armto
monitorforthenextunauthorized
event.
HowtoDetectaTamper
Condition
Toavoidsettingoffthealarmby
accident:
IfKispressedandthehornchirps
threetimes,anattempted  break-in
hasoccurredwhilethesystemwas
armed.

Lockthevehiclewiththe
transmitter afteralloccupants
haveleftthevehicleandall
doorsareclosed.
Thetheft-deterrent alarmsystemwill
notactivate ifthedoorsarelocked
withthevehicle's  keyorthemanual
doorlock.Youcanstartthevehicle
witharecognized  transmitter inthe
vehicleifthealarmhasbeensetoff.
Ifthealarmhasbeenactivated,   the
“TheftAttempted”messagewill
appearontheDIC.SeeKeyand
LockMessages on page 4‑37 for
additional information.

Alwaysunlockadoorwiththe
transmitter.Unlocking adoorany
otherwaywillnotdisarmthe
alarm.
