areslowingdown.Ifoneofthe
wheelsisabouttostoprolling, the
computerwillseparately workthe
brakesateachwheel.

System(ABS)
Withthisfeature, enginepoweris
alwayssenttoallfourwheels.Itis
fullyautomatic, andadjustsitselfas
neededforroadconditions.
ThisvehiclehastheAntilock Brake
System(ABS),anadvanced
electronic brakingsystemthat
helpspreventabrakingskid.
Whenusingacompactsparetire
onanAWDvehicle, thesystem
automatically detectsthecompact
spareanddisables AWD.Torestore
AWDoperation andprevent
excessive wearonsystem,replace
thecompactsparewithafull-size
tireassoonaspossible. See

ABScanchangethebrakepressure
toeachwheel,asrequired, faster
thananydrivercould.Thiscanhelp
thedriversteeraroundtheobstacle
whilebrakinghard.
Whentheengineisstartedandthe
vehiclebeginstodriveaway,ABS
checksitself.Amomentary motoror
clicking noisemightbeheardwhile
thistestisgoingon,anditmight
evenbenoticedthatthebrake
Asthebrakesareapplied,the
computerkeepsreceiving updates
onwheelspeedandcontrols
brakingpressure accordingly.
