Headlights, Parking Lights, Instrument Panel
Lights
Rotate the head light switch clockw ise to the first detent
for parking light and instru ment panel light operation.
Turn to the second detent for head light, park light and
instru ment panel light operation.
Automatic Headlights – If Equipped
This system automatically turns your head lights ON or
OFF based on ambient light levels. To turn the system ON,
rotate the head light switch counter-clockw ise to the AUTO
(A) position. When the system is ON, the Headlight Time
Delay feature is also ON. This means your head lights will
stay ON for up to 90 second s after you turn the ignition
switch OFF. To turn the Automatic System OFF, move the
head light switch out of the AUTO (A) position.

NOTE: The engine must be running before the head -
lights will come ON in the Autom atic mode.
Headlights On With Wipers (Available with Auto
Headlights Only)
The head lights will turn on approxim ately 10 second s
after the wipers are turned on if the head light switch is
placed in the AUTO position. The head lights will also
turn off when the wipers are turned off if they were
turned on by this featu re. This featu re can be turned on or
off using the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
(EVIC) — If equ ipped. Refer to ”Head lights On With
Wipers” in the Electronic Vehicle Inform ation Center
section of this manu al for details.
