Anti-LockBrakeLight
This light monitors the Anti-Lock Brake System .
The light will turn on when the ignition switch
running. If this light comes on continu ously with the
engine running, a malfunction has been detected in
either the ESP or the BAS system . If the light stays
illuminated , have the ESP and BAS checked at you r
authorized dealer as soon as possible. (See page 119
for more inform ation.)

If the ABS light rem ains on or turns on while driving, it
ind icates that the Anti-Lock portion of the brake system
is not functioning and that service is requ ired . However,
the conventional brake system will continu e to operate
norm ally if the BRAKE warning light is not on.
11. AirbagLight
This light turns on and rem ains on for 6 to 8
second s as a bulb check when the ignition
switch is first turned ON. If the light is not
on during starting, stays on, or turns on
while driving, have the system insp ected by an autho-
rized dealer as soon as possible. (See page 51 for more
inform ation.)
If the ABS light is on, the brake system shou ld be serviced
as soon as possible to restore the benefits of Anti-Lock
brakes. If the ABS light does not turn on when the
Ignition switch is turned to the ON position, have the
light insp ected by an authorized dealer.
12. BrakeSystemWarningLight
This light monitors variou s brake functions,
inclu ding brake fluid level and parking
brake application. If the brake light turns on,
it may ind icate that the parking brake is
applied, there is a low brake fluid level or there is a
problem with the anti-lock brake system .

IfEquipped
ElectronicStabilityProgram(ESP)Warning
The yellow ESP/ BAS warning light in the
instru ment cluster comes on when the igni-
tion switch is turned to the “ON” position.
The light shou ld go out with the engine
