Refer to the “Maintenance Schedules” section of this
manual for the recommended air conditioning filter
replacementintervals.
If necessary, add fluid to restore to the prop er ind icated
level. With a clean cloth, wipe any spilled fluid from all
surfaces. Refer to Fluids, Lubricants, and Genu ine Parts
for correct fluid typ e.
Power Steering — Fluid Check
Checking the power steering fluid level at a defined
service interval is not requ ired . The fluid shou ld only be
checked if a leak is suspected , abnorm al noises are
apparent, and / or the system is not functioning as antici-
pated . Coord inate insp ection efforts throu gh a certified
Daim lerChrysler Dealership .
Front & Rear Suspension Ball Joints
The suspension ball joints shou ld be insp ected for exter-
nal leakage or damage when other maintenance is per-
form ed.
Steering Linkage
The tie rod end ball joints shou ld be insp ected for
external leakage or damage when other maintenance is
perform ed.

with the engine off to prevent injury from moving
partsandtoinsureaccuratefluidlevelreading.Do
not overfill. Use only manufacturers recommended
powersteeringfluid.
Body Lubrication
Locks and all bod y pivot points, inclu ding such item s as
seat tracks, doors, tru nk and hood hinges, shou ld be
lubricated period ically to assu re quiet, easy operation
and to protect against rust and wear. Prior to the appli-
cation of any lubricant, the parts concerned shou ld be
wiped clean to rem ove dust and grit; after lubricating
excess oil and grease shou ld be rem oved . Particu lar
attention shou ld also be given to hood latching compo-
nents to insu re prop er function. When perform ing other
