THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
If you r Remote Keyless Entry transm itter fails to operate
from a norm al distance, check for these two cond itions.
1.
A weak battery in the transm itter. The expected life of
the battery is a minim um of three years.
2.
Closeness to a rad io transm itter such as a rad io station
tow er, airp ort transm itter, and som e mobile or CB rad ios.

The recom mend ed rep lacem ent battery is one CR2032
battery.
NOTE: Do not tou ch the battery term inals that are on
the back hou sing or the printed circuit board .

Remove and rep lace the battery. Avoid tou ching the

With the transm itter buttons facing down, rem ove the
new battery with you r fingers. Skin oils may cause
battery deterioration. If you tou ch a battery, clean it with
rubbing alcohol.
small screw, and separate the two halves of the transm it-
ter. Make sure not to damage the rubber gasket during
rem oval.
3.
To reassem ble the transm itter case, join the two halves
of the case together. Install and tighten the screw until
snu g. Make sure there is an even “gap ” betw een the two
halves. Test transm itter operation.
