All Wheel Drive (AWD) —  If Equipped
The  all wheel   drive  system  consists   of a  Transfer  Case,
and   Front   Differential.   The   exterior   surface   of  these
components   shou ld  be  insp ected  for  evid ence  of  fluid
leaks.  Confirm ed   leaks  shou ld  be  rep aired  as  soon  as
possible.
Severe  Usage  is defined  as:
More  than  50%  of  vehicle  operation   in  stop  and   go
traffic where  vehicle  is driven   regu larly for more  than  45
minu tes of continu ous  operation,  such  as in heavy  city or
in constru  ction zone  traffic.

Police,  taxi, limousine,   commercial  typ e operation,   or
The transfer   case fill  plug  is located  on  the rear  hou sing
near  the  output   shaft.  The  level  can  be  verified  by  the
service  plug in  the middle  of  the rear  hou sing, even  with
the bottom  of the hole.  The front differential   fill plug is on
the  outer  cover  near  the  halfshaft  attachm ent.  The  level
can be  verified  by rem oving  the plug  and  insp ecting  the
level. The  level shou ld be even  with  or slightly  below  the
bottom  of the  hole.
Front And Rear Wheel Bearings
Front  and  rear  wheel   bearings  are  perm anently   sealed .
No  regu lar  maintenance    is  requ ired  for  these   compo-
nents.

The fluid  shou ld  be changed   as follow s:

grap hic locations  and  usage.  Chem icals  that  make  road s
passable  in  snow  and  ice, and  those  that  are sprayed   on
trees  and  road  surfaces  during  other  seasons,   are highly
corrosive  to  the  metal  in you r vehicle.  Outsid  e parking,
