UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
The operator can overrid e the AUTO mode setting and
select the direction of the air by rotating the right mode
knob to one of the follow ing positions.

Defrost
Air is directed to the wind shield throu gh the
outlets at the base of the wind shield . Air is
also directed to the front door wind ows throu gh the
side wind ow demister grilles.
• PanelAir flows throu gh the outlets located in the
instru ment panel. Air flows throu gh the regis-
ters in the back of the center console to the rear seat
passengers. These registers can be closed to block
airflow.

Air flows throu gh the front and rear floor
outlets and the outlets at the base of the
wind shield . Air is also directed to the front
door wind ows throu gh the side wind ow demister
grilles.
Dep ress this button to turn on and off the air
cond itioning during manu al operation only. Con-
ditioned outsid e air is then directed throu gh the
outlets selected on the mode control dial. The button
inclu des an LED that illuminates when manu al operation
is selected .

Air flows throu gh the floor outlets located
und er the instru ment panel and into the rear
seating area throu gh vents und er the front seats.
NOTE: To manu ally control the air cond itioning the
mode selector must be moved out of the AUTO position.
