THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
At the time of purchase, the original owner is provid ed
with a four digit PIN nu mber. This nu mber is requ ired
for dealer rep lacem ent of keys. Duplication of keys may
be perform ed at an authorized dealer or by using the
Custom er Key Program ming proced ure. This proced ure
consists of program ming a blank key to the vehicle
electronics. A blank key is one which has never been
program med.
3. Insert the second valid key and turn the ignition
switch ON within 15 second s. After ten second s a chim e
will sou nd and the Vehicle Theft Alarm Ind icator Light
will begin to flash. Turn the ignition switch OFF and
rem ove the second key.
4.
Insert a blank Sentry Key into the ignition switch and
turn the ignition switch ON within 60 second s. After 10
second s a single chim e will sou nd and the Vehicle Theft
Alarm Ind icator Light will stop flashing, turn on again
for 3 second s, and then turn off.
NOTE:
When having the Sentry Key Immobilizer
Systemserviced,bringallvehiclekeyswithyoutothe
dealer.
The new Sentry Key has been program med.TheKeyless
EntryTransmitterwillalsobeprogrammedduringthis
procedure.
Customer Key Programming
You can program new sentry keys to the system if you
have two valid sentry keys by perform ing the follow ing
proced ure:
Repeat this proced ure to program up to a total of 8 keys.
If you do not have a program med sentry key, contact
you r dealer for details.

Cut the additional Sentry Key Transp ond er blank(s) to

If a program med key has been lost, see you r
match the ignition switch lock cylind er key code.
dealer to have all rem aining keys erased from the sys-
tem s memory. This will prevent the lost key from starting
you r vehicle. The rem aining keys must then be rep ro-
gram med. All vehicle keys must be taken to the dealer at
the time of service to be rep rogram med.

Insert the first valid key into the ignition switch and
turn the ignition switch ON for at least 3 second s but no
longer than 15 second s. Turn the ignition switch OFF and
rem ove the first key.
