CoolingSystem—Drain,FlushandRefill
At the intervals show n on the Maintenance Sched ules,
the system shou ld be drained , flushed and refilled .
CAUTION!
Mixing of coolants other than specified HOAT en-
ginecoolants,mayresultinenginedamageandmay
decrease corrosion protection. If a non-HOAT cool-
ant is introduced into the cooling system in an
emergency,itshouldbereplacedwiththespecified
coolantassoonaspossible.
If the solu tion is dirty or contains a consid erable amount
of sed iment, clean and flush with a reliable cooling
system cleaner. Follow with a thorou gh rinsing to rem ove
all deposits and chem icals. Prop erly dispose of old
antifreeze solu tion.
Donotuseplainwateraloneoralcoholbaseengine
coolant(antifreeze)products.Donotuseadditional
rustinhibitorsorantirustproducts,astheymaynot
becompatiblewiththeradiatorenginecoolantand
mayplugtheradiator.

Use only the manu factu rer’s recom mend ed coolant, refer
to Fluids, Lubricants and Genu ine Parts for correct
coolant typ e.

This vehicle has not been designed for use with
Propylene Glycol based coolants. Use of Propylene
Glycolbasedcoolantsisnotrecommended.
