UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
Tosetthevariance: Turn the ignition switch ON. Then,
press and hold the compass button for approxim ately 2
second s. Then, press the SCROLL button until “Com pass
Variance ” displays in the EVIC. Both the “Com pass
Variance ” message and the last variance zone nu mber
will display in the EVIC. Then, press and release FUNC-
TION SELECT button until the prop er variance zone is
selected accord ing to the map. Finally, press and release
the compass button to exit.
When the approp riate cond itions exist, and if supported
by the cell phone, the EVIC will display the follow ing
telep hone sym bols:
The EVIC displays this sym bol to ind icate the
signal strength of the UConnect ™ phone. The
nu mber of horizontal bars increase as the
strength of the UConnect ™ phone signal in-
creases.

incom ing call.
Telephone — If Equipped
Press and release the MENU button until “Telephone ”
displays in the EVIC.

the UConnect ™ phone is currently in analog
mode.

time in minu tes and second s, call end ed, call failed ,
roam ing and no phone connection.
