when the engine is turned off.
However, if you press the EPB switch
within one second after the engine is
turned off, the EPB will not be
applied.
Applying the parking brake

To reduce the risk of SERIOUS

ate the EPB while the vehicle is
moving except in an emergency
situation. It could damage the
brake system and lead to an

the ON position.
To apply the EPB (Electronic
Parking Brake):

Depress the brake pedal and hold.
Press the EPB switch downwards.

Pull upwards on the EPB switch.
Make sure the Parking Brake Warning
Light ( , red color) goes off.
Make sure the Parking Brake Warning

, red color) comes on.
