If the parking brake is applied and the vehicle is in
motion, the red BRAKE warning light will “flash” and a
chim e will sou nd .
25. Fuel Gauge
The pointer show s the level of fuel in the fuel tank. When
the fuel gau ge pointer initially moves to E, for you r
safety, approxim ately 2 U.S. Gallons (7.6L) of fuel rem ain.
The operation of the BRAKE warning light can be
checked by turning the ignition switch from the OFF
position to the ON position. The light shou ld illuminate
for approxim ately two second s. The light shou ld then
turn off unless the parking brake is applied or a brake
fault is detected . If the light does not illuminate, have the
light insp ected by an authorized dealer.
NOTE: When the ignition switch is turned to OFF, the
fuel gau ge, voltm eter, oil pressu re and tem peratu re
gau ges may not show accurate read ings. When the
engine is not running, turn the ignition switch to ON to
obtain accurate read ings.

Low Fuel Warning Light
The clock and rad io each use the display panel built into
the rad io. A digital read out show s the time in hou rs and
minu tes whenever the ignition switch is in the ON or
ACC position and the time button is pressed .
When the fuel level reaches approxim ately 2 U.S.
Gallons (7.6L) this light will come on and rem ain
on until fuel is added. The “Low Fuel Warning
Light” may turn on and off again, especially during
and after hard braking, accelerations, or turns. This
occurs due to the shifting of the fuel in the tank.
When the ignition switch is in the OFF position, or when
the rad io frequ ency is being displayed , time keep ing is
accurately maintained .
