WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES
To rem ove the jack from its stow age position, carefu lly
release the rubber strap from the bracket. Turn the thu mb
screw counterclockw ise to loosen jack and then rem ove it
from the bracket.
WARN ING!
The jack is design ed to use as a tool for changin g
tires only. The jack should not be used to lift the
veh icle for service purposes, unless suitab le sup-
ports are placed under the veh icle as a safety mea-
sure. The veh icle should be jack ed on a firm level
surface only. Avoid ice or slip pery areas.
WARN ING!
Alw ays store the jack , lug wren ch, jack handle
driver, jack exten sion , and spare, flat or damaged tire
secu rely in the prop er place. Never leave them loose
in the veh icle where they could becom e dangerou s
projectiles durin g a quick stop or collision .
CAUTIO N!
Never use you r veh icle jack on the bumpers, sills or
underb ody of you r veh icle. Damage may resu lt.
Place you r veh icle jack only under an axle and in the
position s shown for “Tire Changin g Proced ures.”
