THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

consid ered as a norm al part of the break-in and not
interp reted as an ind ication of difficulty.

nance. Have the exhau st system insp ected every time
the vehicle is raised . Have any abnorm al cond itions

wind ows fully open.

WARN ING!
Alw ays run the climate control in panel or floor mode
when driving with any wind ows open, even if only
slightly, to help keep fresh air circulating insid e ve-
hicle. Otherw ise poisonou s gases could be draw n into
the vehicle.
Exhaust gases can injure or kill. They contain carb on
monoxid e (CO) which is colorless and odorless.
Breath ing it can make you unconsciou s and can
even tually poison you . To avoid breath ing (CO)
follow the safety tip s below.
On hard top models, keep the tailgate wind ow closed
when driving you r vehicle. On fabric top models, do
not drive with the rear wind ow curtain up unless the
side curtains are also open. This will prevent carbon
monoxid e and other poisonou s exhau st gases from
entering the vehicle.

Do not inhale exhau st gases. They contain carbon
monoxid e, a colorless and odorless gas which can kill.
Never run the engine in a closed area, such as a
garage, and never sit in a parked vehicle with the
