A fire may resu lt if gasolin e is pumped into a
portab le contain er that is insid e of a veh icle. You
could be burned. Alw ays place gas contain ers on the
grou nd while fillin g.
To avoid fuel spillage and overfillin g, do not “top
off” the fuel tan k after fillin g.
NOTE: When the fuel nozzle “clicks” or shu ts off, the
fuel tank is full.

Turn the engine off.
In this section you will find inform ation on limits to the
typ e of tow ing you can reasonably do with you r vehicle.
Before tow ing a trailer, carefu lly review this inform ation
to tow you r load as efficiently and safely as possible.
Insert the ignition key into the fuel cap, and turn the
key to the right to unlock the fuel cap. Rotate the fuel
cap to the left to rem ove.

To rep lace the cap, insert it into the filler neck and
tighten the cap abou t 1/ 4 turn until you hear one click.
This is an ind ication that the cap is prop erly tightened .
To maintain warranty coverage, follow the requ irem ents
and recom mend ations in this manu al concerning ve-
hicles used for trailer tow ing.

Make sure that the fuel cap tether strap is not caught
und er the fuel cap.
Perform maintenance services as prescribed in the
“Maintenance Sched ules” section. When you r vehicle is
used for trailer tow ing, never exceed the gross axle
weight rating (GAWR) by the addition of:
Be sure to rem ove the key.
