UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE
To Accelerate for Passing
Dep ress the accelerator as you would norm ally. When the
pedal is released , the vehicle will retu rn to the set speed .
CIGAR LIGHTER AND ASHTRAYS — IF
EQUIPPED
The vehicle may be equ ipped with a cigar lighter recep -
tacle, elem ent, and ashtray (Smoker’s Package Only). The
cigar lighter will be located in the lower instru ment panel
(near the heater controls), and the rem ovable ashtray will
be located in the center console.
NOTE: When driving uphill, at elevations above 2,000
ft. (610 meters), or when the vehicle is heavily load ed
(especially when tow ing) the vehicle may slow below the
SET speed . (If the vehicle speed drop s below 30 mph (48
km/ h), the Speed Control will autom atically disengage).
If this hap pens, you can push down on the accelerator
pedal to maintain the desired speed .
WARN ING!
Leavin g the Speed Con trol on when not in use is
dangerou s. You could accid entally set the system or
cause it to go faster than you want. You could lose
control and have an accid ent. Alw ays turn the system
off when you are not usin g it.
