As the airbags deflate you may see som e smoke-like
particles. The particles are a norm al by-p rod uct of the
process that generates the nontoxic gas used for airbag
inflation. These airborne particles may irritate the skin,
eyes, nose, or throat. If you have skin or eye irritation,
rinse the area with cool water. For nose or throat
irritation, move to fresh air. If the irritation continu es,
see you r doctor. If these particles settle on you r
clothing, follow the garm ent manu factu rer’s instru c-
tions for cleaning.
Deployed airb ags and seat belt preten sion ers cannot
protect you in anoth er collision . Have the airb ags,
seat belt preten sion ers, fron t passen ger seat belt
retractor assem bly, and Occupant Classification Sys-
tem rep laced and/or serviced by an authorized dealer
as soon as possib le.
