UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
Your vehicle has also been equ ipped with a TPMS
malfunction ind icator to ind icate when the system is not
operating prop erly. The TPMS malfunction ind icator is
combined with the low tire pressu re telltale. When the
system detects a malfunction, the telltale will flash for
approxim ately one minu te and then rem ain continu ously
illuminated . This sequ ence will continu e upon subse-
quent vehicle start-u ps as long as the malfunction exists.
When the malfunction ind icator is illuminated , the sys-
tem may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressu re
as intend ed. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety
of reasons, inclu ding the installation of rep lacem ent or
alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the
TPMS from functioning prop erly. Alw ays check the
TPMS malfunction telltale after rep lacing one or more
tires or wheels on you r vehicle to ensu re that the rep lace-
ment or alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS to
continu e to function prop erly.
