Tire Pressu re Monitorin g Low Pressu re Warn ings
The TPM Light will illuminate in the instru ment
cluster and a chim e will sou nd when tire pressu re
is low in one or more of the four active road tires.
Shou ld this occur, you shou ld stop as soon as possible,
check the inflation pressu re of each tire on you r vehicle,
and inflate each tire to the vehicle’s recom mend ed cold
placard pressu re valu e. Once the system receives the
updated tire pressu res, the system will autom atically
update and the TPM Light will turn off. The vehicle may
need to be driven for up to 10 minu tes above 15 mph (25
km/ h) in ord er for the TPMS to receive this inform ation.

fault cond ition no longer exists. A system fault can occur
due to any of the follow ing:

Signal interference due to electronic devices or driving
next to facilities emitting the sam e Radio Frequ encies as
the TPM sensors.

materials which may block rad io wave signals.

Excessive accumulation of snow or ice arou nd the
wheels or wheel hou sings.

Using tire chains on the vehicle.
Check TPM S Warn ing
The TPM Light will flash on and off for 75 second s and
then rem ain on solid when a system fault is detected . The
system fault will also sou nd a chim e. If the ignition key is
cycled , this sequ ence will rep eat, provid ing the system
5. Using wheels/ tires not equ ipped with TPM sensors.
NOTE:
1.
The compact spare tire (if so equ ipped) does not have
a tire pressu re monitoring sensor. Therefore, the TPMS
will not monitor the pressu re in the compact spare tire.
