In moderate to severe side collisions the inflating Head /
Thorax airbag exits throu gh the seat seam into the space
betw een the occupant and the door. The Head / Thorax
airbag moves at a very high speed and with such a high
force, that it could injure you if you are not seated
prop erly, or if item s are positioned in the area where the
airbag inflates. This especially applies to child ren.

Your vehicle has four Weigh t Sen sors located betw een
the seat and the floor pan. The weight sensors measu re
applied weight and transfers that inform ation to the
OCM.

The Head /Th orax Sid e Airb ags—If Equipped (SRS)
are designed to activate only in certain side collisions.
