NOTE: The parking brake lever will not release unless
the lever is pulled up slightly past its applied position.

seriou sly or fatally injured . Don’t leave the keys in
the ign ition . A child could operate power win-
dows, oth er controls, or move the veh icle.
Park ing Brak e Lever
Be sure the park ing brak e is fully disen gaged
before drivin g; failu re to do so can lead to brak e
failu re and an accid ent.
When parking on a hill, it is important to set the parking
brake before placing the gear selector lever in PARK,
otherw ise the load on the autom atic transaxle locking
mechanism may make it difficult to move the gear
