THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING  YOUR VEHICLE
To open  the unlocked   liftgate, squ eeze the  liftgate  release
tou ch pad  located  on  the  backsid e of the  liftgate  hand le
and  pull  the liftgate   open  with  one fluid  motion.
Opening The Liftgate While the  Security Alarm Is
Activated
Unlocking   the   liftgate   with   the  rem ote  keyless   entry
transm itter   will   allow   access   to  the   liftgate   withou  t
sou nd ing or disarm  ing the  security   alarm  system . Once
the  liftgate  is  closed , it will  again   be monitored    by the
security  alarm  system .

Drivin g  with  the  liftgate   open   can  allow  poison  -
ous  exhaust  gases  into  you r veh icle. You  and  you r
passen gers  could  be  injured  by  these  fumes.  Keep
the   liftgate   closed   when   you   are  operatin  g  the
veh icle.
Liftgate  Handle
If you  are req uired   to drive  with  the  liftgate  open,
make   sure  that   all  windows   are   closed , and   the
clim ate control  blow  er switch  is  set at  high  speed .
DO  NOT  use  the  recircu lation  mode.
