TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM — IF EQUIPPED
The Traction Control System (TCS) will improve accel-
eration and steering on slippery surfaces by red ucing tire
spin. The system red uces wheel slip and maintains
traction at the driving (front) wheels by engaging the
brake on the wheel that is losing traction. When this
occurs the TCS ind icator lamp located above the instru -
ment cluster odometer will flash. The system operates at
speed s below 35 mph (56 km/ h).

Service should be obtain ed as soon as possib le.
CAUTIO N!

Prolon ged operation of the steerin g system at the end
of the steerin g wheel travel will increase the steerin g
flu id tem peratu re and it should be avoid ed when
possib le. Damage to the power steerin g pump may
occur.
TCS OFF Switch
A push-bu tton at the center of the instru ment panel,
below the rad io, turns the Traction Control System ON or
OFF.
