NOTE: Use the Auto Door Locks and Auto Unlock
featu res in accord ance with local law s.
The Auto Unlock featu re can be enabled or disabled .

(EVIC) — if equ ipped section of this manu al.
CHILD PROTECTION DOOR LOCK SYSTEM — IF
EQUIPPED
To provid e a safer environm ent for child ren rid ing in the
rear seat, the rear doors have the “child -protection” door
lock system .
For vehicles not equ ipped with the EVIC the Auto
Unlock Featu re can be enabled or disabled by perform ing
the follow ing proced ure:
To use the system , open each rear door and move the
control UP to engage. When the system on a door is
engaged , that door can only be opened by using the
outsid e door hand le even if the insid e door lock is in the
unlocked position.
1.
Close all doors and place the key in the ignition.
2.
Cycle the ignition switch betw een LOCK and ON and
back to LOCK four times end ing up in the LOCK
position.
